Article: Discovery of the Lymphatic Vessels

Researchers at the UVA School of Medicine have determined that the brain is directly connected to the immune system by vessels previously thought not to exist.

The discovery of these Lymphatic Vessels will fundamentally change the way we look at the central nervous system’s relationship with the immune system. This could be a significant discovery for the research and treatment of neurological diseases like autism, Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis and dare I say, fibromyalgia.

The immune system deficiency in fibromyalgia varies among patients, but it is definitely a common issue. I have been taking zinc regularly for the last nine months to help boost my immune system and it seems to have helped.

Unfortunately, I discovered that if you take to much zinc, it may interfere with your body’s ability to absorb copper (which may have been causing that severe post-menstrual syndrome). There is actually a formula you should consider if you supplement with zinc to also supplement with copper. I was taking way to much zinc, so I reduced it and added just a bit of copper to the mix.

Oops…I digress…as always 🙂
