I wanted to drop in to wish all my blogging friends Happy Holidays! So Merry Christmas, Joyful Yule, Happy Hanukkah, warm Winter Solstice wishes…or however your family celebrates the light during this festive time of year.
My absence has been a bit longer than I had expected, mostly because this time of year is normally busy, but this year, my son has returned home, I got a nasty cold and I have been preparing for our homeschool portfolio review which is coming up soon. So every time I think about writing, I get distracted.
I’ve never been one to do it up big during the holidays, but the last few years have been particularly subdued after my mother’s passing on January 1, 2015. Seems like I can stay upbeat around her birthday and Mother’s Day, but the anniversary of her death stirs a lot of difficult emotions. I feel so tired, but not in physical way and the urge to be alone is totally overwhelming.
My fibro is behaving itself pretty well, all things considered, so I am feeling extremely grateful for that. I hope my fibro friends are managing as well, I’ve been thinking about you guys during my break. ❤
And cheers to 2017!! I will definitely be back after the first of the year!
