After my long absence, I really wanted to find some way to come back to my blog even when I don’t necessarily have anything to say. I discovered Cee’s Photography, Share Your World Challenge through another blogger and decided to give it a try. She posts questions for you to answer every week. So here goes…
What household chore do you absolutely hate doing?
I really, really hate cleaning the catbox…which is why I don’t do it!! When the family decided to adopt our cat about five years ago, it was a deal breaker for me. My olfactory receptors are super duper bionic, I smell everything. Smells that overwhelm or offend me literally make me sweat. Not my job…nope, no thanks.
At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive?
I have been thinking about doing something big for about six months, but was not ready to make a decision. I was worried about this or that, but kept finding reasons why it suited me. On Thursday last week I signed up for a six month educational program that I think might be amazing. It was like I was standing on the edge of a cliff, I was terrified and exhilarated, and I jumped. I love that rush!
How many times have you moved in the last ten years?
I have not moved once in the last ten years. Actually, I have lived in this same tiny, amazing, sanctuary of a neighborhood, in various abodes for close to 35 of my 45 years of life. I thought I moved back because I felt it was a good place to raise my son. Now I think I am just old friends with all of the trees…its like they know me, we’ve watched each other grow.
What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?
I feel incredibly lucky to take a walk in the middle of the day with my dog. Especially in this mild fall weather we’ve been having, 55 degrees, the sun is shining, I am surrounded by blue skies, squirrels and trees and the intoxicating smell of fall. I ❤ it!
I hope you have a great week!
