I have been so busy lately! I am in the fourth week of my health coach certification and I am loving it. The information I am learning is enlightening to me and I thought I knew healthy stuff (lol). It is such a relief to have reliable, scientific based nutritional information. It is so easy to become confused from this over-saturated internet about what is really the best course of action for true nutrition. Dr. Sears’ book, Prime Time Health is really a must read for anyone over 40.
I completed our homeschool portfolio review last week and I realized that it was my 9th successful review. Five years of second-guessing, stressing out and over-compensating because of other people’s opinions. I used to think it would get easier as I went along, but really it doesn’t. Some things become routine, but there are always challenges. And every single year, January through March just plain sucks. One of our homeschooling neighbors, including my daughter’s best friend, moved away this month and it has been particualrly hard for her. We are both enthusiastically dreaming of spring.
So anyhow…here are the questions and my answers to Cee’s Share Your World Challenge. Join along, its fun! 🙂
If you had an unlimited shopping spree at only one store, which one would you choose? Why?
I would say an RV store. I have dreams of a top of the line RV traveling around national parks like it is my job. I have flown to just about most of the U.S., but haven’t driven to anywhere west of the Mississippi. I would love to have one these for our retirement days.
What is the worst thing you ate recently?
I can’t think of one thing actually. I am back on my “whole food” 90% of the time kick which changes my taste buds. It is like your tastes buds get cleaned out and reset. Everything I have been eating is off the heezy good because I make it from fresh ingredients and hook it up with spices.
Name five things you like watching…
Big birds of prey soaring through the air
The moon and stars; the night sky
Swallows flitting around like little sprites
People dancing enthusiastically and freely
Animal rescues of any kind
What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?
This week, on Amazon Prime music, I stumbled upon an album from my childhood, Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours. It took me back to a time with my sister and my mom and my mom’s friends. Then I found some Heart albums that we used to listen to, it was the mid 1970s in full effect. It was awesome…awesome is an inadequate word. I felt full.
It is funny how the body and mind responds to music that was in the background of your memories. How you remember the melody and the words that you thought were right when your six year old self tried to figure them out. Prime music is truly a gift for an auditory person like me. I have found so many albums that I once owned on tape, but never replaced on CD, or that my parents owned on vinyl, or that was popular on the radio from my childhood. I ❤ Prime music.
I hope you are having a great week!
